Terms of Service

Welcome to Tallykins. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and J&C Worley Ltd. (the "Company," "we," "our," or "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, governing your use of the Tallykins app.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use Tallykins. Younger users may require parental or guardian consent, and at app download in accordance with your app store policies. Users are responsible for complying with local laws and app-store age restrictions.
2. Features
Free:
You can run one active Event at a time, with up to 4 Friends included. Friends can be grouped or ungrouped for detailed transaction handling and grouped settlement suggestions. All Event data is stored locally on your device (unless it is an event that has been shared by a user with the Organiser Pass).
Organiser Pass:
You can run multiple Events at the same time, with up to 20 Friends per Event. Friends can be grouped or ungrouped for detailed transaction handling and grouped settlement suggestions. You can generate and share Event summary PDFs showing all transactions, who paid, who attended, and each participant’s share. Event data is synced to Firestore Cloud. An in-app purchase of the Organiser Pass is required.
Currencies and Exchange Rates:
Tallykins® currently supports GBP, USD, EUR and a range of other currencies for Event data. You can select your preferred ‘display’ currency at any time. Exchange rates can be adjusted. Transaction shares and currency conversions are calculated to two decimal places (e.g., GBP 0.00). In some cases, a rounding penny may be assigned to one or more attendees.
Features, limits, and availability may change over time as we develop the app.
3. Data & Privacy

By entering data into Tallykins, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of operating and improving the app. You remain the owner of your data.
4. In-app Purchases
- The Organiser Pass is billed via your app store account.
- Refunds, where applicable, are governed by your app store’s refund rules.
Pricing may change in the future. Where required, your app store will notify you of price changes and provide cancellation options.
5. Ads
We do not display third-party advertisements and do not track or profile users for advertising or marketing purposes. Your data is used solely to provide and improve the core functionality of the app.
6. Intellectual Property
Tallykins® is a registered trademark. All related names, logos, designs, and the mascot are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or reuse any of these without our prior permission.
7. Disclaimer
The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the app or from errors in the app.
You are responsible for all data you enter into Tallykins®. Entering illegal, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate names for Mascots, Friends, Groups, Transactions, or Events is prohibited and may result in termination of your access.
You may be required to reimburse us if your misuse of the app or your actions cause legal issues or claims against us. Any illegal activity, attempts to hack or reverse-engineer the app, harassment, or infringement of our rights is a breach of these Terms and may result in termination and, where appropriate, reporting to the relevant authorities.
Tallykins helps groups track contributions and expenses, but we do not verify the accuracy of any amounts entered. We are not responsible for financial losses, disagreements between users, or incorrect data entered by users.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to cloud services, backup systems, or syncing features.
9. Termination
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms of Service.
Deleting the app or stopping use does not entitle you to a refund. Refunds are handled solely by your app store.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms. The latest version is available in the app on your app store or at www.tallykins.com
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
